We craft boots from several cuts of this crocodilian: belly, ultra belly, and hornback. Ultra belly is ultra smooth; belly is only slightly less so. Abrasion-resistant hornback is heavily textured, with deep, tall ridges. The most recent caiman in the Lucchese family, giant caiman has larger tiles than the other varieties. All these crocodilians hold firm around the foot, even after repeated wear.
Some jobs are harder than others. When life throws you the dirty work, Lucchese barn boots are what to wear. Part of our Performance Collection, barn boots have been bestsellers from the very first pair. Able to stand up to the toughest conditions — and look good doing it — they’re handcrafted from materials that keep feet dry, guard against slips, and release mud and muck with every step.
Clean: Remove loose dust or dirt with damp cloth or soft brush. For heavily soiled products use Lucchese Leather Cleaner (see care instructions) Condition: Apply Lucchese Leather Conditioner to your boots liberally, let dry. Polish: Apply neutral or color matching cream-based polish and buff with a soft cloth to a shine. Protect: Apply Lucchese Premium Leather Protector.
