Queyoun Makor is a Liberian-American model, actor, and influencer based in Dallas, Texas. He is known for dynamic photos that showcase his unique and versatile style. Queyoun’s style has been noticed by a number of well-known brands including Lucchese, Nike, Lays, Old Spice, Reebok, Gillette, Expressmen and Reliant NRG, which have all worked with him on social media and ad campaigns. His style is best described as adaptable to the environment, and his fashion sense also reflects his surroundings and parallels the feel of the east meeting the west in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.
We asked Queyoun to share more about his day-to-day and how his Texas roots are incorporated into his urban style.
What led you to become a fashion influencer?
I played sports most of my life and influencing was not necessarily my intention initially. I started posting photos of my outfits and my lifestyle, and people took to it. The beautiful thing about it all is that I am truly just being myself with every post and campaign that I participate in.
Walk us through a day in the life as a men’s fashion influencer.
A typical day would consist of me checking emails and forwarding the campaigns that I am interested in being a part of to my agent. Once I get the details of the campaign, I begin planning what I would like the theme or concept to be. After that, I think about my type of outfits I can put together that is true to my style but also in alignment with what the brand stands for. I contact my photographer, book a venue, and we just create.
You own two Lucchese ropers: Jonah and Sunset. Can you share with us your take on how to wear ropers?
I think ropers should be worn in traditional cowboy fashion. You can style it with denim on denim or even throw in a nice flannel, and, of course, you cannot forget to add a cowboy hat.

Being from Texas, how have you continued to emphasize western wear in your personal life?
Every once in a while, when I step out, I like to incorporate a pair of Lucchese boots into my outfit. Nothing says “I’m from Texas” like a pair of good old-fashioned cowboy boots.
What kind of feedback do you get from your followers about your boots?
My followers absolutely love it and the engagement is extremely high. I think it’s because the boots look great and it gives off a totally different vibe than people are used to seeing on my page.
What do you look for when you shop for boots?
I look for the quality of material that the shoe is made with, and I look for a shoe that is both sturdy and stylish.
Tell us about the Jonah and Sunset.
The Jonah is extremely fashionable. It is a well put together boot and is extraordinarily comfortable. Jonah is an equestrian take on the classic roper. It features an inside zipper and a genuine leather sole. Most importantly, it’s handmade in the great state of Texas!
The Sunset reminds of the traditional cowboy boot. Lucchese uses only the finest leathers from around the world, from ranch hand cowhide to Mad Dog Goat, Florence buffalo to Italian suede. The Sunset is the feel and looks even better.
What do you feel every day when you put on your Lucchese boots?
Putting on my Luccheses makes me truly feel like a Texan!
