The superstar gets a surprise at Wrigley Field

Blake Shelton holds a gift from Lucchese.

Friendships in unique and high places are not an unfamiliar kind to Lucchese, which most recently made a special delivery to Blake Shelton by way of another famous, friendly face — Neal McCoy.

Lucchese account executive Alison Cafourek had the honor of doing a rare thing: surprising a superstar. At Wrigley field for the Chicago stop of Shelton’s Ten Times Crazier tour, Cafourek waited patiently for a meet and great with Shelton before delivering two pairs of boots: One Blake-Barrel Brown Ultra Belly Caiman with Antique Brown Buffalo quarters (E2155.73), and one Neal-Sienna Ultra Belly Caiman Tail cut with Pony Brown Buffalo quarters (CY1051.W8).

“He was very grateful and very excited to have them,” Cafourek says. “It was a surprise, though he is familiar with our boots because he wore Luccheses in his wedding to Miranda.”

Touring companion and recording artist McCoy is a longtime friend of both Lucchese and Shelton, and helped arrange the exchange. And though Shelton may have been the recipient of outstanding, handmade boots, the audience received the priceless gift of what CMT called a 20-song set that “did country proud.”
