Lucchese + Pinto Ranch Make Rodeo History
The companies premier a wooden shopping lodge inside the 2014 Show

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ draws in competitors, fans and artists from around the country; it’s a meeting of outstanding talent, from those at the top of the rodeo circuit to those at the top of the music charts. This year, Lucchese joins fellow western stalwart, Pinto Ranch Fine Western Wear, to make a new kind of history inside Reliant Center.

Together the two companies join powerful forces to premiere a 2,400 square-foot booth at the 2014 Show from March 4 through 23, where over 1,000 pairs of Lucchese Handmade Classics will be on hand and available for purchase.

"We wanted to bring better western wear to the Rodeo — something visitors had not seen before," explains Walter Pye, president and CEO of Pinto Ranch. "Pinto Ranch will be offering the finest apparel and accessories for men and women and especially the opportunity to walk-in and walk-out with a pair of Handmade Classic boots by Lucchese."

The booth was designed in the form of a wooden lodge inspired by the actual working Pinto Ranch, which began operations in the 1930s. To make the experience even more luxurious and turnkey for rodeo-goers, Lucchese is dispatching the company's top boot experts to Houston to help shoppers determine their perfect fit and style.

"Lucchese has such a proud legacy of making authentic handmade cowboy boots. We wanted to reach our Handmade Classics customer especially at the renowned Houston Rodeo where the cowboy tradition lives on,” says Doug Kindy, president of Lucchese.

In addition, two trunk shows are planned for Lucchese fanatics, providing the opportunity to order a custom design straight from the bootmakers. So throughout the month of March, Houstonians and Houston Rodeo attendants are best advised to keep their eyes peeled for the Lucchese presence — we hope to see you there with your cowboy heels kicked up.
