Every pair of Giant Gator boots is unique. The natural tiling patterns
of wild-caught alligator vary greatly, so your boots won't look
exactly like those you see online. Your pair may be belly (larger
tiles), tinga (smaller tiles), or a combination of the two depending
on the specific cut of hide used for your boot.
Any special requests for specific cuts of this leather will
require additional pricing.
Stonewashing is a technique used to distress the materials we
use to make your boots. It gives a coveted, worn look to the
product and it's literally what it sounds like.
Once we build a pair of boots, right down to their hand-painted
soles, they're tumbled in a large clothes dryer with pumice stones.
Afterward, the boots are cleaned and finished, but they retain
the nicks and scuffs that lend a rugged character that is unique
in the world.
How a Lucchese Boot Should Fit
RULE OF THUMB
Lucchese boots generally run true to size, but don’t be surprised if your western boot’s size is
slightly smaller than your dress shoe size due to its construction. The best way to find your fit
is to confirm your foot size with a boot expert.
A properly fitting boot should feel like a firm handshake
across the instep.
The ball of your foot should be in the widest part of the boot.
There will be a slight slip in the heel.
HOW TO TRY ON COWBOY BOOT
Put both fingers through the pull straps and insert your
foot into the boot.
Keeping the heel on the ground, use your body weight to get
your foot into the boot. Note: You will feel resistance as
you try to pull the boot on.
As your foot sinks into the boot, listen for the audible
Walk around and feel the fit of the boot. Note: Notice the
slight slip in the heel.
COMMON FIT PROBLEMS
If the boot feels too tight, go for a wider width.
If the boot feels too loose, try a smaller size.
