He was awarded MVP prizes at the 2009 20 goal America Cup in Santa Barbara and the Jimmer Newman Cup at IPC in 2008 and 2009. When he is not playing polo, Kampsen enjoys golf, going to the beach, and being with his friends and family.

Escobar was born in Costa Rica but is an American citizen. He played his first 8 goal tournament at age 9 and has been playing tournament polo ever since. Polo has taken him around the world, as Escobar has played in numerous high goal tournaments in the US and Argentina, as well as South Africa, China, and Spain. He was MVP in the 20 goal Robert Skene Cup in Santa Barbara and the East Coast Open. In between polo competition, Escobar runs a polo school at his Santa Clara Farm in Wellington Fl, and spends time with his wife Georgette and sons Nico and Lucas.

This past summer he got a different view of that same field, playing on the undefeated Lucchese team that swept the 20 goal series. Jason was crowned MVP of the Pacific Coast Open, a true hometown hero. Jason was also MVP of the Silver Cup in Houston TX in 2001, and resides in Santa Barbara most of the year.

Adolfo was awarded the 2010 Robert Skene Season MVP for his performance in Santa Barbara. He is married to Argentine supermodel Maria Vasquez. They have two children, Mia and Adolfo Jr. Adolfo is widely considered to be the best polo player in the world.
