General Leroy Sisco is currently retired from the military after completing a forty-two year career.
During his career he commanded the TXSG and was deputy commander of the 49th Armored Division and assistant adjutant General M-Day. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1967 from Abilene Christian University, but joined the Texas Army National Guard, Company C-142 Infantry 36th Division, in April of 1961. During his first three years as an enlisted soldier he rose to the rank of E-5 and was selected to attend OCS. He graduated and was commissioned in June of 1965. General Sisco’s military experience spans command positions from company to Deputy Commander 49th Armored Division and Commander of the TXSG.
